The reporter learned from the Yuwan Railway Company that on May 4, with the completion of pouring of the last concrete, the newly built Ruxi River double-line bridge of the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway was successfully merged, marking the entry of the critical stage of the construction of the Xinyuwan High-speed Railway.
The Ruxi River Double Line Bridge is located in Tujing Township, Zhong County, Chongqing City. It has a total length of 588.648 meters. The bridge has a total of 149 pile foundations and 16 pier bodies. The continuous rigid structure is 256 meters long and has a span of (48+80×2+48) meters. The bridge spans Ruxi River and G348 National Highway. The continuous rigid structure of the Ruxi River double-line bridge was successfully integrated, creating conditions for the beam formation of the Xinyu-Wanzhou High-speed Railway on schedule and laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction.
The main line of the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway is 251 kilometers long and has a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After completion and opening to traffic, it will promote convenient connection between the urban clusters of the Three Gorges Reservoir District in northeastern Chongqing and the main urban areas, greatly facilitate the travel of people along the route, promote economic and social development along the route, and is of great significance to better serve the implementation of the major strategy of building the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle.
